Paying homage to our much-loved sister restaurant, The Wolseley City is situated at the gateway to the city on King William Street by Monument Square.
With a café bar, restaurant, and private dining rooms, we’re open from breakfast through to late night, serving a menu of Wolseley classics and British heritage favourites.
Here at The Wolseley City, the onset of March symbolises a sense of renewed energy. We have plenty of reasons to celebrate this month: from the promise of longer days, new seasonal menu changes and the opportunity to honour the mother figure in our life on Sunday, 30th March,
For a relaxed setting to meet and discuss the business of the day over coffee or tea, we offer Just For Coffee tables during the mid-morning and mid-afternoon. Guests can reserve a table in advance, or if booking ahead isn’t possible, walk-ins are welcome, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
If you are craving a pastry or a sweet afternoon treat? Our all-day Café menu has plenty to choose from and is available but dining is not required for use of the table
The table is available for drinks and light bites for 45 minutes, between 10.00am and 11.30am and 2.30pm and 4.30pm
Settle in for an afternoon of delicious brunch classics or afternoon tea, accompanied by the sounds of our resident pianist, playing classic soul and jazz on our baby grand piano. Every Saturday, 12 – 4pm.
The interior design embraces symmetrical aesthetics, a timeless monochromatic colour palette, and opulent architectural embellishments. However, while its namesake draws inspiration from the Asia, The Wolseley City’s influences are rooted in Egyptian motifs and references, creating a distinctive and captivating ambiance.
The Wolseley City is rooted in the tradition of Grand European café dining - with a British twist. Sister to the much-loved Piccadilly original, our restaurant fuses elegant all-day dining with inspiring interiors on a grand, architectural scale.
Like our sibling, we occupy a landmark 1920s building – formerly the site of a bank and latterly a department store – reimagined with several signature touches, including intricate ironwork and our familiar horseshoe entrance.
